The Producer had to call on Maybo coming fresh off a suspension to help go through all the sport this week.

First off, we are joined by Maj from Majsport (DESI_STIG_) who talks to The Producer about the Livestream and The Ferrari Cup which was held at Bathurst last weekend. You can find the video on our website or look for Majsport on YouTube. If you see the livestream let him know Bats and Balls sent you. Please give Majsport a like and subscribe using the link below.

In the NRL the Eels got belted by a very committed Bulldogs team. Have the Bulldogs turned the corner or were the Eels just flat. The Panther still holds the Bats and Balls Belt. Can anyone take it off them? Maybos Broncos just keep finding ways to win.

AFL is getting very tight up the top of the ladder and if results go the way they should this week only 1 game could separate 1st to 7th on the ladder. Who can keep their form on the run to the finals?

Maybo and The Producer then talk about F1, Supercars, Socceroos, Super Rugby Final between the Blues and the Crusaders before we wrap the show up.

Pies and The Producer got to watch the Eels Destroy Manly live. Pies was having fun taking pictures with a King Gutho fan. Brisbane got a lot of luck from the Bunker in their win over the Knights and the Panthers have taken back the Bats and Ball Belt after defeating the Roosters.

West Coast scored a bucket load of points but it was not enough to defeat the Giants. Melbourne just keeps on winning and Hawthorn got an upset win against the Lions.

Manchester City are the EPL Champions after a come from behind victory over the weekend. Liverpool fans were on the edge of their seats but you could see the wind come out of them once Man City got the victory and the title. However, Liverpool’s win made Brighton finish 9th after they defeated West Ham.

Pies and The Producer then talk Motorsport and NBA to finish the show

Josh and The Producer get the original team back together for second week running. Pies has been doing half marathons and The Producer has been perfecting his Sim Racing.

In the NRL and in true Parramatta Eels fashion the Bats and Balls Champions are now the Sydney Roosters. Can the Eels bounce back against Manly this week? Magic Round also saw The Panther smash the Storm and the Raiders defeat the Sharks. Brisbane won easy against Manly can they do it again against the Knights? Magic Round also saw Podcast Favourite Erik make an appearance on several occasions on the Sunday.

Pies and The Producer went out to watch the Giants vs Carlton game which saw Carlton run away with it in the final quarter. West Coast are still struggling but did push the undefeated Demons by only being beaten by 74.

The EPL comes down to the last week. Can Pies Liverpool win it all or will Erik’s Man City do enough to clinch the title.

Josh and The Producer get the original team back together for Episode 305. It is always great to the original crew back together. But where has Pies been and What has he been doing??

We have a new Bats and Balls Champion after the might Parramatta Eels won the battle of the west and destroyed the Panthers. Adam Reynolds showed the Rabbits why it was a mistake to let him go and we had another send off and a sin bin that could have been a send off all in the same game.

West Coast has used the about 1000000 players so far this season and with how fit Pies is he may even be asked for a run. Geelong and Fremantle crushed their opposition and Melbourne just keep on winning.

EPL is a as close as ever with it all locked up at the top of the Ladder between Liverpool and Man City with City having an extra game to play. It is really Man City comp to lose. Brighton surprised everyone giving Man United and 4-0 belting.

Miami was the Venue for the F1 and Max Verstappen winning again.

After Pies lost to both The Producer in AFL Supercoach and DWS Fleshpuppets in NRL Supercoach, The Producer needed to get Erik to help do the show.

The Eels had a tough night in Darwin going to down to the Cowboys and the Tigers lost to the Dragons. Round 8 saw a send-off for spear tackle. The Panthers are still the team to beat however the Storm after scoring 104 -2 in the last 120min for footy are coming to get the Panthers.

The West Coast Eagles are still struggling for players in the AFL and now the coach is in trouble as well. The Demons just keep winning and Erik’s Swans had a tough loss to the Lions.

Champions Leagues Semi-Finals saw Liverpool get the job done and Man City choke when they had it all but won. MLB is back and Erik’s Dodgers are doing well with The Producers Padres keeping them honest. Supercars saw SVG extend his championship lead and F1 is back this weekend from Miami.

No Pies and No Erik means The Producer is joined by Maybo to go through NRL, Supercoach, AFL and EPL.

In the NRL the Tigers made it 2 in a row defeating the Rabbits. The Dragons stunned the Roosters on Anzac Day. The Roosters look off their game can they turn it around? The Eels got back into winning ways and the Storm smashed the Warriors.

West Coast are playing like a team that hasn’t trained together in the AFL. Port smashed the Eagles and the wooden spoon is looking more likely now. The Crows got another win this time over the Dogs.

Maybo then takes us through the EPL and Champions League. Can Liverpool win everything?

Josh and The Producer get the original team back together for Episode 302. What could possibly go wrong in this episode?

In the NRL the Panthers still remain undefeated while the Tigers are the only team yet to win a game and are up against a red-hot Eels team this week. Talking about the Eels their game with the Titans in Round 5 was filled with controversy. In the NRLW the Roosters won the Grand Final defeating the Dragons team. This was a great effort by the Roosters team who needed a lot to go their way just to make the finals.

NRL Supercoach is getting serious and Josh and The Producer go through their teams and what their possible trades could be. We also go through all the games in the Bats and Balls Cup and Mug.

West Coast Eagles finally got their first win of the season which is a huge effort considering the number of players they have missing currently. GWS went down against Fremantle but were there any bad umpire calls? Port Adelaide is now the only team left yet to win a game can they finally get on the winners list in Round 5?

AFL Supercoach is a struggle but Josh tells us how good his team is going while The Producer is having no luck at. Can either side make the Bats and Balls Cup finals.

Finally, we finish with some EPL and what a game it was between Liverpool and Man City as both teams battle it out for top of the Premier League. With 7 games to go it can go either way. Brighton got a solid with and finally back in the winners books.

Josh and Erik have been suspended from the show after an off the air issue. So, The Producer is joined by Big Mendy for Episode 301.

In the NRL the Storm and the Eels had big wins while the Tigers had another loss. The Broncos are back into their losing ways and The Panthers are still the only undefeated team in the comp. In NRLW win to the Dragons and Roosters see them facing off in the Grand Final this weekend.

West Coast are still terrible in the AFL although they are still fielding a C grade team. The Cats and The Saints had great come from behind victories.

The Aussies have finished their tour of Pakistan with a ODI series loss 2-1 but they did win the one off T20.

F1 and Supercars head to Melbourne for the next round for both series this weekend which should be a great event. Big Mendy gives us an update on how the Moto GP is going.

We then finish the show with Other Sport made up of EPL, Boxing, Horse Racing, Basket Ball and Wrestlemania.

We have hit 300 Episodes and we have got the crew together to talk all things sport and look back at the last 299 Episodes. Pies starts the show and is joined by The Producer, Colbee, Big Mendy, Erik and Maybo.

Parramatta got a great win over the Storm in Golden Point in the NRL which has Pies smiling. Mendy was very happy with his Rabbits while Erik and Maybo were not happy with the efforts of the Tigers and Broncos. When will the Tigers win a game?

AFL saw Buddy Franklin kick his 1000th goal and wild scenes at the SCG. It will be a moment no one forgets. West Coast are still struggling to get a team on the field and The Producer has put his hand up if needed.

The Aussies took out the Tour of Pakistan 1-0 after winning the final test of the series.

SVG just keeps winning in the Supercars and in the F1 Ferrari are the team to beat with another great performance over the weekend.

In other sport Erik talks about MLB. Maybo talks about the International Weekend and EPL and Mendy talks about Boxing, Tennis, Sailing GP and finishes off with some Darts.

With Josh and Erik ruled out for playing the pokies The Producer is joined by Big Mendy and Maybo.

In the NRL the Panthers and Storm just keep winning while the Sharks got a good win against the Eels. The Tigers were very poor against the Knights and the Broncos got the win and are 2-0 for the season. In NRLW the season is getting tight with the Dragons and Broncos locked into the top 4 and the Eels, Titans and Roosters fighting out for the final 2 places. It will all come down to the final round.

In AFL the Swans won the battle of the Sydney teams. Carlton upset Richmond with a great win and West Coast are doing it tough with a lot of players out with injury.

Mendy and The Producer talk about the F1 and the great Ferrari win in the Bahrain GP. The Supercars return this weekend in Tasmania. Mendy the gave the highlights from the Moto GP and Scott McLaughlin nearly made it 2 from 2 in the Indy Cars coming a close second.

Maybo and Mendy then talk about the Golden Slipper that was run over the weekend. Maybo is loving what Liverpool is doing in the EPL and Champions League. Mendy the gives us all the news in Boxing and Darts to finish the show.

Sport is back in a big way and Josh and The Producer finally get back into the studio to cover all of it.

Round 1 of the NRL has been completed and it was a tippers nightmare. The Panthers showed they are ready to defend their title with a dominate victory over the Sea Eagles. The Roosters let many people down against the Knight and the Eels snuck over the line against the Titans. In NRLW all 3 games were very entertaining with The Producer being at the final 2. Both the Dragons vs Broncos and Eels vs Titans games were end to end and had many big hits.

NRL Supercoach competitions starts week for the Bats and Balls Cup and Mug. In a funny twist The Producers and Lone Rangers are against each other in both competitions.

The Australian Cricket Team are in a very strong position during the final day of the 2nd test. Can they win and go 1-0 ahead or will it be a draw and be 0-0 going into the 3rd test.

Liverpool had an easy 2-0 victory over Brighton in the EPL. Manchester City had a draw which keeps Liverpool close enough if good enough. Brighton now has 5 straight loses and they need to turn it around as soon as possible.

AFL returns this week and Josh takes us through his top 8 as he previews the upcoming season. Can Melbourne go back-to-back? Can the Eagles avoid the wooden spoon? These are just some of the questions to be answered.

AFL Supercoach is back and we go through our final teams and Josh gives some pointers on how to be successful.

Lastly F1 returns this week and The Golden Slipper is also on Saturday.

After a really sad weekend for Australian cricket Josh and The Producer are joined by Erik to remember the great Shane Warne and Rod Marsh.

The test series in Pakistan has started with the first test being a very boring draw. The team discuss if pitches should have more life and who should be playing in the last two tests.

NRL is back and so is our tipping competition (check details below).  Round 1 is just around the corner so we go through all the games and put our tips in. For more NRL please have a listen to our NRL Preview Show. NRLW continued and Brisbane are still the team to beat. In other games the Dragons and Eels played in terrible conditions and put on a great show.

Supercoach is back!! Both the Cup and Mug competitions are full so let the games begin. Good Luck to everyone in both these competitions.

Supercars returned at Sydney Motorsport Park and wins to Shane van Gisbergen and Chaz Mostert on a very wet weekend.

In EPL Manchester City just keep winning but Liverpool is staying close enough should they drop some games. Brighton just keeps losing and with a game against Liverpool this week things do not get any easier.

MLB is still in lockout but an outcome looks like it may not be far away. The Producer wants to know who players in the MLB can’t evolve their games.

Josh makes his grand return for a full show this we and he is joined by The Producer and Erik. There is a lot to talk about so this is a big show.

The Australian Cricket Team is off to Pakistan to play 3 tests. Darren joins the show again to help us understand what the conditions will be like and who will be playing. The Aussies have not played there since 1998 so can they get the job done?

NRL continued with the last week of trials. Although you can’t read too much into trial form some teams have looked a lot better than other. Parramatta had a big win against the Panthers and the Tigers played well defeating the Roosters. In NRLW the ladies made a new fan out of The Producer who was able to watch the Parramatta Eels verses Newcastle Knights match. The Eels got the win in a close game that was very entertaining.

Josh and The Producer then try to help Erik with his NRL Supercoach team. We got through Josh’s and The Producers teams. Keep an eye out on the website for an article on The Producers team. There is still time to join the Bats and Balls Mug. Codes for the competition is below.

Supercoach Codes
NRL Bats and Balls Mug - 847033

AFL Bats and Balls Cup - 114017

Supercars return for the first race of the season at Sydney Motorsport Park. Can Shane van Gisbergen go back-to-back? In Indy car Scott McLaughlin won his first ever race. Can he go all the way this season and win it all?

Josh then talks about Liverpool winning the Carabao Cup Final in what was a great game and tells us all how much he enjoyed the Australian Open Canoe Championships. Erik then tries to explain the MLB Lockout situation and everyone has a laugh over Parramatta having so many members they need to lock some fans out of games.

Josh makes his big return and is joined by The Producer and Erik Nielsen. The team start the show by catching up on everything that is happening in their lives.

The Australian Cricket Team has finished their summer of cricket at home with a 4-1 T20 series win against Sri Lanka. Erik gives his views on how the team played and his thoughts on Sri Lanka moving forward.

The NRL trials have started and even though the results do not really matter we were able to see some good young players in action. Parramatta are on the look out for a new winger after a bad injury to Haze Dunster. Josh gives his views on who could replace him. Erik then talks about the Tigers and their 5 Captains that they have named.

Erik and The Producer then talk EPL and how Man City let Liverpool close the gap after their loss to Tottenham. Brighton had a bad loss to Burnley who is fighting to get out of the relegation zone. Brighton are still in the top 10, can they stay there?

Erik has decided to play NRL Supercoach for the first time and The Producer decided to give him some tips. Feel free to join our NRL and AFL comps (league codes are below) winners will get a Stubby Holder. While you join our Supercoach Leagues also join our ESPN tipping comp. We have returned for another year and while Josh is off getting super fit we bring Darren de Kretser and Erik Nielsen back onto the show.  While we were away the Aussies dominated the English to win the Ashes. The team discuss the series and if Pat Cummins was tested as captain. Who will be the next Australian Coach?

The Producer was then very keen to gloat about the Might LA Rams winning the Super Bowl but Erik and Darren were far more interested in the Half Time show.

Man City are still way out in front in the EPL. Can Liverpool catch them?  Somehow Brighton are still in the top 10.

In Rugby League the All Stars game was really entertaining even though it had a lot of official errors.

Erik and The Producer then finish the show talking about the Winter Games and Erik give an update on the state of play in MLB

Pies and The Producer back together for one last show of 2021.

We wrap the first two Ashes tests and look ahead to the next three.

Then we touch on the last few weeks of NFL and EPL and tip our next rounds/

We recap the end of the Formula 1 season. Max Verstappen delivered on the promise Christian Horner saw in him all those years ago with a victory in the final race of the season. Lewis Hamilton did everything he could, but the Red Bull finally dethroned Mercedes.

Then the team give us some highlights, lowlights and predictions for 2022.

From all of us here at Bats Balls. Merry Christmas and here's to a slightly more normal 2022.

The Ashes are set to start this week and The Producer is joined by Erik Nielsen and Darren DeKretser on his Bats and Balls debut.

Erik and Darren break down both the Australian and English line ups. Is Ben Stokes ready to carry England?, Will Starc hold his place in the side? are just some of the questions to be answered in this series.

Big Bash has returned with both Sydney teams getting off to a great start. In other cricket around the world India destroyed New Zealand in their last test match even though Ajaz Patel was huge taking all 10 wickets in the 1st innings.

In the EPL Brighton keep finding ways not to lose with 2 equalisers late in games in the last week. Darren's Leeds are near the bottom but fighting hard just needing to convert some draws into wins. Erik's Man City are on top and going very well.

Motorsport saw the Bathurst 1000 and a crazy F1 race over the weekend. Chaz Mostert and Lee Holdsworth won at Bathurst after having the best car all weekend. F1 was just crazy with 2 red flags and loads of drama and Lewis Hamilton taking the win. This means we are all tied up in the drivers championship coming into the last round.

Erik then ends the show by talking MLB and the player lockout. Can they fix the issues before the season starts?

The Producer is wrapped in cotton wool and plaster so he should make it through the full episode. We're back to cover all the sport.

In the NFL it's a funny season. Are the Chiefs back? It's too early to tell but signs are good. The Rams are in a hole and the Pats could be the best team going round.

In Soccer we've got the International weekend and World Cup Qualifiers. By the time you listen to this Australia will have played China in Sharjah. EPL is back this week and we give out tips. Arsenal have gone from the cellar to the hottest team in football in the space of 2 months.

Australia beat New Zealand comfortably in the T20 World Cup Final in Dubai. New Zealand have played the final of all three forms of the game in the last couple of years taking out the test championship but losing both forms of limited overs finals. Our friend Erik may have coined the phrase DSC So Big.

SVG is close to wrapping up the Supercars title with one more round at Eastern Creek before Bathurst. And in the F1 Lewis Hamilton kept the title alive with a stunning victory in Brazil.

Meanwhile in other sport, Pies is loving the NBA season because it actually looks like Basketball again. Josh Giddey and Patty Mills are doing some good things too.

Australia and England are heading to Brisbane to prepare for The Ashes. A preview will be out shortly.

And we finsih off with The Producer's plans to fix the lopsided NRL draw.

Pies, The Producer and Colbee check out the lead up runs and try and find the winner of the 2021 Melbourne Cup. With the absence of many foreign raiders, Incentivise is the clear favourite for the cup. Can it get two miles? Who is the biggest threat? Can Colbee box up 11 horses and still miss the trifecta?!

It's been a long time. But Pies is back in the Bats and Balls Studio with The Producer. After a short catch up we're back into the sports.

In the NFL Arizona look unstoppable at the moment. There's a few other NFC teams nipping at their heels though. In the AFC no team has fewer than 2 losses which makes for a competitive conference.

In the EPL Liverpool won the one fixture the fans look forward to every season. A 5-0 drubbing of Manchester United at Old Trafford no less. Mo Salah is the best player in the world right now. But Liverpool may still only be the third best team in the Premier League the way Chelsea and Manchester City are playing. It's gonna be a fascinating run to the title with these three special teams. Brighton fell to City and face the Reds this week which may see them finally drop out of the European positions.

The T20 World Cup is under way. Australia won their first match., But Pakistan have been the surprise packets beating India and New Zealand. Batting coach Matt Hayden has them firing.

State of Rest won the Cox Plate despite severely hampering 3yo Anamoe in the run to the post. Craig Williams looked confident waiting for the result but it wasn't to be. The question has to be if that was a midweek at Moe, do they uphold the protest. And the answer is yes. In other races Forgot You won the Vase and is headed for the Derby. But connections unfortunately won't be sending the 3yo to the Melbourne Cup. Keep an eye out for our Derby Day tips and our annual Melbourne Cup show.

In other sport Max Verstappen held off Lewis Hamilton in the US Grand Prix while Supercars are back at Eastern Creek for the next 4 weeks straight.

The NBA tipped off last week and the Chicago Bulls lead the standings with the Lakers slowly finding their groove. Golden State are out in front of the West.

Queensland is the centre of the Rugby League world with the announcement of the Dolphins as the 17th NRL club. And the Q Cup Grand Final decided in the final minutes. Plus the Panthers have leaned into their bad boys tag in the aftermath of their NRL Premiership.

Not much player movement in the AFL Trade Period. Most notable were the lack of late trades.

Soccer played out a big international weekend topped off with a home win for Japan over The Socceroos. EPL is back this weekend and we give our tips.

The big horse races continue this week. At Royal Randwick we've got the big sprint showdown in The Everest while Caulfield hosts the Caulfield Cup. We'll give our tips for those races. Stay tuned to our blog and socials for full selections on Saturday morning.

The Producer put Pies on leave due to him being too pro Penrith and Erik Nielsen joins the show.

In the NRL GF the Panthers got the job done against the Rabbits but was Nathan Cleary really the best player on the field? The Producer can't work out why Referees get tagged at pedantic when players constantly break rules. Former West Tigers player Benji Marshall has retired and the Tigers have changed their logo and Erik gives his opinion.

Brighton keep on getting points in the EPL and sit 6th going into International Break. Liverpool and Man City had a draw and only 2pts separate the top 6 teams.

International Break means World Cup Qualifiers. Can Demark and Australia get one step closer to locking in their place in the World Cup?

In the NFL the Bucks got the win over the Patriots in the Tom Brady Cup. The Cardinals are on fire as the only undefeated team and destroyed the Rams. While the Giants got their first win of the season. Can they make a run to the playoffs?

The Bats and Balls Podcast team has started doing weekly Horse Racing Tips. Check out the website batsandballspodcast.com to see the teams tips each week. In the week just gone Pies and Colbee were on fire with the tips.

Erik talks about the IPL and the quality of Indian players we haven’t heard of yet. The guys then talk about the upcoming Ashes Series. Will it be as good as the Indian Test Series last year?

Lastly Erik talks about the MLB playoffs and makes his predictions on who will go all the way. Erik then tells the Padres what they have to do in order to go to the next level. Will they listen?

Pies and The Producer joined via Zoom by Mendy.

We recap the NRL Prelims and pick our winner for the NRL Grand Final.

Melbourne broke their AFL Premiership drought with a second half thumping of Western Bulldogs. Christian Petracca won the Norm Smith medal with a stellar performance.

Tottenham played Arsenal back into form. While a Liverpool draw at Brentford was enough to top alone. There's a pack one point behind including Brighton!

The good teams are emerging in the NFL. LA Rams and Arizona Cardinals have set up a mouth watering clash this weekend. And Tom Brady goes back to Foxborough.

Mendy catches us up with all the darts competitions. Plus we have a look at a few other sports.

And there's a few horse racing tips also.

After substandard performances Pies and The Producer keep getting selected for the big games. It's almost like they're mates with the people running the podcast.

In the NRL Manly were far too good for a depleted Sydney Roosters. While in the other game Penrith held on against a brave Parramatta.

In the AFL it all boils down to this. Apart from a shaky end to the season for the Dogs, Melbourne and Western Bulldogs have been the benchmark all season. In a season of turmoil, moving house at short notice, lockdowns, quarantines and footy, these two teams deserve to be there on that twilight evening in September... in Perth.

Tottenham haven't got a point since Pies refrained from cursing them with #PiesKnows. Even the whiff of contention is enough to turn Spurs to water.

F1 is back this week in Russia. While in cricket, former St Clair Hawk Hannah Darlington starred in her first ODI for Australia vs India. And Mitch Marsh has made another bid to be recalled to the Australian ODI mens team.
